Conducting experiments at the animal house unit policy

Services:

In 2022-2023, the animal house unit served about 100 researchers affiliated to more than 19 institutions, including Cairo University, different public and private universities, and research institutes.

• Animal anaesthesia
• Animal surgeries
• Drug/ treatment administration via different routes (IV, P.O, IP, S.C)
• Behavioural studies that can assess basic locomotor and sensory functions as well as higher functions including cognition and emotions
• Data collection using fixed cameras
